One question from statkz…

May 19th, 2009 | nurgozhin

Yesterday I bought 1 loaf of bread, bounty and sprite… it cost me 250 tenge… Butter is infinite… I can’t finish it in two days… I even couldn’t finish it in one week. ^_^
So I have some extra money and today I bought only 2 bounty… and they still costs 75 tenge for each.
When people do stat analyse on basket of supermarket products… its wrong.
Because they analyze only one segment of population… middle and high segmehts. people with money. Middle-level managers and senior managers. Middle-level managers is also engineers, officials and some of the doctors. Senior is directors. But what about rural area??? How will they classify them??? One more, people who lives in village never goes to supermarket and they never buy bounty or sprite… Sooo question for today is..

How we should count people who lives in rural area… any ideas??? ^_^

Paradox

May 16th, 2009 | nurgozhin

Today I went to “Abroy” and bought 1 bounty(75 tenge), loaf of bread(56 tenge) and salad “olivie”(228 tenge)… totally I spent 359 tenge. I didn’t buy sprite and butter, because of “haliava”… Paradox. ^_^
When someone starts make statistics about Kazakhstani family he should mention that our poeple like meeeeeeeet. We can eat horseflesh, lamb, chicken, rabbit, fish… but we don’t eat pork and everything related to pig. Our country is multinational but kazakh culture is muslim. Our ancestors believed in totem but than we took muslim religion. But we are not strong muslims like Iran, United Arab Emirates or Saudi Arabia. Our culture is modifying… is bocome fusion of west and east cultures. Kazakhstan is very tolerant to other nations, but it doesn’t mean that someone can come and arrange chaos. ;)
Sooo religion, culture and nationality are also affect on the economy of country or you will face in your statistics with some paradox. ;)

Great Kazakhstani hospitality ^_^

In 2 days after first buying I was faced with “freeriding”… We call it “haliava”. Sooo I get haliava 2 times. First of all my sister cook me soup with chicken and I ate during two days… Today I get some chocolates, biscuits, coke, sprite, juice… ^_^
I don’t see that in western culture. When you take something from your neigborhood or friend or classmate he or she always wait something from you… she or he makes like investment in you. But in Kazakhstan you can get something for free from your friends. If you come to Kazakhstan family first time you can take everything you want… It is our culture.
Sometimes if I haven’t money I call to my friends or go to my relatives.
Sooooo… today I don’t go to shop and I save 1280 tenge. ^_^
Some cases economy can’t consider and provide. ;)

Statistics

May 13th, 2009 | nurgozhin

Hello everybody,

This is my blog and I will post here basket of the product to control inflation rate and monitor economics of Kazakhstan.
So I will buy
1 litre of “Sprite” or “Coca” 122 tenge
1 “bounty” or “snickers” or something equivalent 75 tenge
1 loaf of bread 56 tenge
1 butter of “Krestianskoe. Osoboe” 106 tenge
I will try to predict behavior of people and economical fluctuations of Kazakhstan.
Someone ask me: “for what”? I will answer, just for fun. ^_^ Someone can tell me that is not objective statistics but I will doubt it is objective. First of all I don’t work in bereau of statistics of Kazakhstan. Our government is not enough fair with us and sometimes their statistics is lying. Second is that objectivity depends from many factors as the result truth is go far away.
Also you can ask me: why I took this products? I have some reasons. 1) cheap, 2) Well I wanna test how long I can take this case on me. 3) Is it really I can leave for 1000 tenge everyday in Almaty, Kazakhstan?
Complete basket of products costs 359 tenge. So I have 640 tenge for something more heavy like pizza, burgers, soup or something else.
I buy all this in supermarket which is calls “Abroy”. It is near of my house.
Some products I will consume in one day(chocolate, coca) while others can be consumed in much longer period(bread, butter).
So I will go to supermarket in 1 time every 2 days.
I wanna do that maybe 1 month and if it is interests someone I will continue.

P.S. Sorry for my English. ^_^

P.P.S. I took my first basket in 14 may 2009 of Kazakhstan timeline.
